Personally thanking your employees is important. Personal interaction and acknowledgement
when a milestone is reached creates lasting memories and gives deeper meaning to any
Achievement or occasion.
Pretty much everyone wants to be appreciated. People want to know that what they
are doing is important and meaningful. They want their peers to acknowledge their
accomplishments and/or achievements because it creates meaning to what they are doing.
Displaying something tangible like a certificate of achievements verification of their
hard work and your companies appreciation of it.
Sharing the experience with creates pride in any accomplishment. Including the family in
special occasions links the family and work…the two most important things in an employee’s
life. By allowing employees to take an awards catalog home or seeing their award and award
choices online they are able to connect the two.
Awards create lasting tangible memories. It is important to realize that what is useful and desirable to one person may not be useful and desirable to another. By providing a choice of
quality awards that come directly from there companies program you allow employees to be
active in their own recognition and decide what is valuable to them.
An award needs to be presented as close to the achievement as possible. Reinforcement
directly following the accomplishment and/or achievement dramatically increases a program’s effectiveness and maximizes motivation. Timely award fulfillment is also imperative to keep
the reward connected to the recognition.
